I take great pride in my ability to tackle sauces that are high on the Scoville scale. Feeling like a true alpha, I declared to myself, "I am no simp. I am an Alpha male. A true man's man!"So, without a second thought, I snagged the three-pack of Matouk's Trinidad Scorpion Pepper Sauce. I used the same amount of sauce as I would with Matouk's Flamebeau hot sauce—what could go wrong? Well, let me tell you: Trinidad Scorpion Pepper Sauce brings the heat in ways I never imagined, and suddenly, I was questioning my alpha status!Just like Flamebeau, the Trinidad Scorpion Pepper Sauce boasts amazing flavor, but with a serious increase in heat. According to the Scoville scale, Scotch Bonnet sits at a mere 325,000, while Trinidad Scorpion skyrockets to a jaw-dropping 2,000,000! Yes, you read that right!If you love hot sauces and crave spice but also enjoy a little self-punishment, then grab the three-pack. You definitely won’t be disappointed! It's great stuff, but this seller raised their prices exorbitantly! Probably my last order, found a couple of other sources on the web. What could possibly justify a $4 per bottle price increase?!

I’ve purchased this hot source multiple times to the point I should just get a subscription. A little goes a long way. It is flavorful. I use it sometimes to start of my vegetable soup broth to making fried rice or sautéed vegetables. I highly recommend you add it to all your savory meals if you like a little kick to your food and tastebuds.

From what I've come across it seems that people consider this one of the more mainstream and vanilla superhot sauces. The thing is that this is one of them that's popular for a good reason. First, this is not an extract sauce. It doesn't have that nasty extract flavor that seemingly half of the people that like hot sauces can't taste at all (and the rest of us think it's like licking under the fume hood in a chemistry lab; maybe it's a supertaster/nontaster thing?) and the spice is perfect. I'm not talking about heat levels here since for someone that is used to things like sriracha and Tabasco this is utterly shocking. It's that the flavors are balanced perfectly, making a sauce that, though not as universally applicable as sriracha, makes everything it's on so much better. Plus also spicy.I also have to note the "value for your money" on the features section of amazon reviews. Yes, a bottle of Matouk's is a bit, but 1) the bottles are larger than those for many other hot sauces that aren't perfectly mainstream and 2) this is so much hotter that you'll use less, but the flavor is good enough that it won't take away from your enjoyment. I'm not sure how much it costs now, but trust me: ten bucks a bottle for this is not a problem. If you like hot foods this will be much better value than supermarket hot sauces. If you're willing to try a sauce that's over the top by mainstream standards this is not only the place to start but a place you'll go back to over and over again.
