I was snagging about 40 clams an hour in knee/thigh deep water on my knee. You have to use a bit of pressure to take through the sand but this thing was absolutely the best tool, way better than the long handled clamming rakes which I think are close to useless, so save the $80 bucks and don’t buy one, this is all you need in shallower waters.

I bought the wrong size..didn't realize I would be claming from a boat and not waterside...BUT seemed like a great rake!

Does what I bought it for good tool

This is the best. I used it to clean out under fig tree where its difficult to reach. Great for cleaning up small areas difficult to reach with large rake. Gets up weeds. I highly recommend this. Very sturdy well made

Small. Can't imagine getting too many clams with it. Says "Garderners claw rake" on it. I bought for clamming. Disappointed
