If buying due to weight of full 5 gal bottles, just don't fill them up all the way and save money.
It was getting a little harder for me to lift and lug five-gallon bottles. These are a much better size and weigh less when full. Now had I been thinking, I might just have filled my five-gallon bottles up to 60% and stopped, thereby removing the need to buy these bottles (hint hint) as they are higher priced than I would have anticipated, but I have never been accused of being too bright. Nonetheless, good quality, with no unusual taste to the water.

Worth it
What a difference between 5 gallons and 3 gallons! The 3 gallon design is much more manageable for transferring to the stand as well as carting from the car to the store and back. What I love most is that they are BPA free. It is definitely an investment, but well worth is for our health and to make a weekly chore less painstaking.

Pros: well made bottle. Cons: pricey
This is a solid and sturdy bottle with no leaking noticed. Well made. I needed a 3 gallon bottle for easier handling. The only negative is the price. I'll be keeping this bottle but I hope to find another bottle at a lower price.

Great Smaller size Option
Perfect alternative to 5 gallon water bottles when lifting 40 lbs is no longer an option. With 3 gallons of water- the weight is 24 lbs. Doable. Trade off is lower capacity- but if you can’t dead lift 40lbs into a cooler….well

Easy to lift…
Perfect size for us..We fill at a local spring and lift with no problem.. This size works great, came super fast..

Dont buy these if you use a dispenser
I wanted to like these bottles, but it seems like the standard 3 and 5 gallon water jug mouth is 55mm, these are 48mm. I bought silicone leak proof caps with inner plugs that won't fit. I searched everywhere to find a 48mm version, but they wernt to be found anywhere. I tried calling their customer support during their stated hours and was sent to a voice mailbox that was full. I would recommend that if a company is going to use a non standard size, they should offer caps to fit them
