CTA Tools8940 Torque Limit Ratchet Wrench (25 N/M)

My company used these for oil changes and I can’t imagine doing an oil change without them! I just disagree with them being used for oil filters because I used it on a Volvo and it pinched the gasket for a cartridge filter and that car almost made it to the shop because of an oil leak. Oil filters aside, this is amazing for any drain plug. FCA, BMW, Volvo, Honda, you name it, it can do it as long as it’s metal (Sorry VW and Ford F150 lol)

Awesome tool, I daily use this when I'm doing my oil changes to tighten the drain plug as well as canister filters. A must have!

This is only for new "cartridge style" oil filter housings or housing caps like on late model Toyota's. Do not use with conventional "spin on" oil filters, if you do, it will over tighten them and may even damage the filter. For most spin on filters just tighten till rubber gasket contacts engine then 3/4 turn more. This tool is not for use with late model Mazda's, Ford Escap Hybrid 05-10, Ford Fusion 06-10, Saturn 00-06, Cadillac Catera 97-01. Check with manufacturer before ordering if not sure.
