Great base plate compass for scouting
Great base plate compass for basic orienteering. Using it for a scout troop. Plastic material is durable, the bezel works well and is tight. I bought several of the cheaper base plate compasses in this is superior to the basic models out there for under 10 bucks.

This one works
I have tried other, cheaper compasses and just proved the old adage "you get what you pay for". The cheaper ones did not work consistently thereby being useless. This Suunto seems to always point in the same direction as North giving me some confidence it is accurate. I need this compass to properly aim my portable dish for my RV satellite TV and it is critical to establish North as the first step.

Made in Finland, (not China), this compass is well built of quality material. The markings are clear and legible. The needle is accurate to orientation.I recommend buying this compass.
