This product is really runny and very oily-tasting. It would have been even oilier if some of the oil hadn't seeped out. It came in a tub inside a nice, realy sturdy cardboard box which I could easily have reused, except that oil had seeped out from the tub onto it. Maybe if the tub had been kept the right way up, this wouldn't have happened - the delivery driver left the package on its side behind my bin (in spite of having registered that I didn't want this to happen on my Amazon account, especially when it was rainy) - but it doesn't say much for the security of the lid (a section appeared to have lifted a bit from the rest of the tub). I was left with a solid really dried out mass where the product had slipped toward the lid and then the oil had separated, which it took me a lot of time and effort to mix back together. Who knows how much of my 3kg of tahini got lost this way ... It's a good price, especially for organic, but my Subscribe and Save order is being cancelled - it's just not worth the hassle for a less than excellent product.

As others have said it is runny, more so than my usual brand.I got all the very thick tahini from bottom of tub and ran it through magi mix with some thin. Then mixed all togetherIts fine now and good taste

I had read that this was going to be much more liquid like than previous tahini I had bought and it had very mixed reviews.I too was a little surprised about the consistency but found that giving it a really good stir because of the settlement makes it fine, and easier to use than much more solidified brands. I’ve used it in lots of recipes particularly from the alkaline diet reset book and wouldrecommend and will purchase again once it’s ran out.

I had wanted dark Tahini and did not realise this was light - the taste however is lovely and have enjoyed using it

Lovely taste. Product needs stirring before use as the oil separates. This can be a hard job as the denser matter collects at the bottom of the bucket. This is totally normal though as this product is natural and has no additives.
