Since I fly-fish I am not sure how much this review applies to other types of fishing. These gloves were great on my last fishing trip. They were comfortable whether wet or dry and protected my fingers from friction as I stripped line in. They also made handling trout more secure. The only problem is that now I have one more thing to track and remember to put on. A suggestion would be to make the tab for pulling on the gloves a loop so they can be secured with a glove retainer. I worry that removing a glove to tie on a new fly could be an opportunity to irretrievably lose one into the water. One final thought, be sure to wash (or at least rinse the gloves after handling fish). I was rushed and neglected to after our last day of fishing (my fault) and the gloves had a really bad odor after a couple days of basting in my fishing bag. A good cleaning fixed that. The imitation leather which helped grip the fish is what retained the odor (my son has gloves are just fabric and did not have as bad an odor).

Not only is the most affordable glove on Amazon, I think it is the best. It is long enough cover most of the wrist so you do not have exposed skin between it and your sleeve, it also covers most of your fingers except for the tips. No sunburn, and less sunscreen needed. I've only had it for one week and used it twice already. Time will tell how well it holds up. I highly recommend it.

I bought myself and boyfriend a pair of the blue gloves for fishing. However my we still felt the prick of the fishes scales thru them. It defeats the purpose… these are lightweight. Can move fingers around without issues. We like how the finger tips are exposed. This makes it much easier to set up our poles without having to take the gloves off. They’re also easy to clean.I would return these because they’re not thick enough or prevents us from getting pricked, but the return window has closed already. In Massachusetts it rained and stormed for nearly 5 weeks straight. Therefore we couldn’t go fishing. Now we’re stuck with them. But at least they weren’t that expensive.

The sizing chart shows for these is totally bogus. I took the measurement indicated and got just over 8 inches, which would put me at an XL. I'm a 5'6" girl and I knew I didn't wear an xl glove. I bought a large, assuming maybe these were sized according to a smaller demographic, like European or Asian sizing. The large is still huge. Also, the pad at the crease between pointer and thumb - which is where I blister - is in the wrong spot. Possibly this is due to the sizing issue. I'm really disappointed, why even include a sizing chart if it's completely incorrect??
