Great deal for started rods!
Best deal! If you have a kiddo who wants to start fishing this is a win!! My son is 11 and is so happy with the 202 I use the 404 and they work great! We’ve caught tons of bluegill! 😊

great for kids, easy to use
got these for camping trip with grandkids, they had a lot of fun, even got pretty good at casting, it is nice that it comes with pre-spooled line too,

Great to start, or teach kids. Just dont try a strong cast with these reels.
This is a great package deal if you and your spouse want to try to fish for the first time. Both poles and reels work for beginners. Other than being a bit bigger and having two handles, there is no difference between the 404 and the 202. Once you get better at casting though, you will want to get new reels, as both of these lock up when trying to cast with any kind of force. We've lost quite a bit of bait trying to cast to far away spots. For kids though, you can't really go wrong.

To be fair , I have not had any issues with either of these rods or reels. Please note that I have only used them both on two trips so far but I did some what put them to the test and they passed ..... so far.
