If you want to light your room but don't want full overhead lighting, this lamp is perfect. Important to note is that it does NOT come with a light bulb, so have one ready when it arrives.It's really easy to put together. There were no written directions, but common sense kicked in, and it was a snap to assemble. The base is very heavy and planted which is awesome. The only couple things that bothered me were the Velcro lamp shade and the lean. Make sure you assemble the shade before you try to put it on the lamp.Ours leans forward a bit; I'm not sure if it's the grade of the floor (don't think so), or the heavy base/lamp pole. But nevertheless I love it- it's a stylish lamp and would be great in a den, or if you want to switch to ambient lighting.

Despite what some others have said, I found the assembly to be very easy. Some complained about the shade, which I find actually of good quality and appearance. Yes, it does have velcro, but it is good material and when aligned carefully, it looks great. Others have complained that the light fixture shows the bulb. I believe they assembled the top upside down (the metal assembly should have the apparatus holding the bulb down, not up). The base is very heavy and would take a lot to tip over. There is a slight bend in the main post, but it is not enough to concern me and looks fine to me. I actually like the floor switch. It is a good quality switch; if standing, you can turn it on with your foot. If sitting, you can reach the switch. I really like this product.

For the price we got exactly what we wanted! It took me 5 min to assemble it, it is a little lop sized but it looks great in my living room. The lamp shade material is a very nice color and it’s not cheap looking. I’m very happy with my purchase.

The product needed more assembly than expected, but it was easy to put together. It looks lovely, and gives my living room a clean and more modern look. The light is soft.

We use this lamp over our couch to add light to that area. It's definitely bright enough and has a nice soft light, but when we put it together we realized it bends over to one side slightly. Also, it doesn't show this in the picture but the top of the plastic light mechanism is not hidden by the lampshade, and is fully visible. This really detracts from the look of the lamp. It looks ok so we kept it but it's not great.

I purchased the light to provide accent lighting in my walk-in closet. It’s serving the purpose just as I intended. No complaints!

I was nervous when it was in such a small box. But it’s 10times nicer than the version I bought and returned to Target. Sturdy, easy to assemble,And looks so nice.

The lamp shade that comes with this is really small! I put this lamp in a small sitting room and it still looks so weird. I replaced the shade for one double the size and now it looks great. I could have bought a better lamp for what I ended up spending on this. I would not recommend this lamp!
