India Tree Natural Decorating Colour - True Red 21g

Easy to use. Not as strong of color as I was hoping. 1/2 the bottle for a regular sized batch of cookies made them light pink as opposed to anywhere close to red. This cookie was 1/2 pink (mixed with that half bottle of dye) and half regular dough for comparison. My son was excited to be able to eat something pink at least though.

thought this would be a good alternative to the artificial coloring, saddly it takes more and it is not as deep a red as I like.

It doesn't hold up as well to baking as the traditional grocery store colors, but it does great for mixing into marzipan, or frosting, or for painting onto cookies.And it doesn't bother my friends with chemical sensitivities/food allergies, yay!!!

I like that this in natural and did not change the taste of my cake. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because you have to use double to get the color.

The color is fine; unless you need it to hold up under heat. It also leaves a faint fruity aftertaste.

Good but I'm new with soap colouring I I'm not sure yet if it mixs with oils

The color isn't true. When using in a red velvet cake or cupcake it takes at least 3 times the recipe calls for and doesn't create that beautiful red velvet color that red velvet cake are known for.

I used the whole bottle and only got light pink.
