Tablecraft 725 Heavy Weight Measuring Cups

I have had this exact set of measuring cups for almost 20yrs, and the handle just came off of one. I was thrilled to find the same ones to replace them with, as I never have to worry about the handles or the cups bending or becoming misshapen. I love them so much I was considering getting someone to weld the broken one back together for me.

Both my wife and I have for a long time been less than satisfied with the durability of "consumer-grade" kitchen utensils. Aluminum cups get dented and deformed over time and plastic cups' markings wear off. So I went 'hunting'. Amazon, as usual, had what I wanted.These measuring cups are made from heavy stainless steel stock. They work well, are easy to clean, and look like they'll last for multiple generations. The only possible negative comment I can imagine is that they're much heavier than cheaper products, but that's exactly why we wanted them.Highly recommended.

These feel sturdy and heavy, but the edges of the handle are sharp. Not razor sharp or anything like that, but I didn't realize I'd be quite so annoyed at the corner digging uncomfortably into my hand when I scoop brown sugar or something viscous. Round the edges!

I bought 2 of these sets as they were fairly inexpensive. They are made of very heavy gauge metal, however the quality is a little lacking. The handles are tack-welded onto the body in 3 places only. I haven't had any problems yet but it is definitely a week point. Food can get stuck in between the handle and the body as there is a gap there. Also, I had to file and sand down the corners of the handles as they were sharp and uncomfortable to hold.

But I have a set from Williams Sonoma. Good weight too, but much nicer finish. Serves the purpose though.
