This is an excellent keyboard and a perfect replacement for the Asus G73 backlit keyboard. Very easy to install as well. There is an Asus G73 disassembly video on YouTube that is very helpful in this regard. Hardest part was sliding the backlight ribbon into its fitting. Another pair of hands comes in handy for this. This keyboard is a little different in finish than the original, not as flat black, but the contrast actually looks better, to me at least, and actually compliments the surrounding 'stealth' finish. Oddly, the feel of this keyboard is better than the original!One thing, it took almost two weeks to arrive, and I had no clue to that until after I ordered.

First of all, this thing was packaged to take a direct nuclear strike! It's a non OEM keyboard for my Asus G73JH-A2 but it fits perfectly and works perfectly and has ALL the correct icons on all the keys. A lot of other generic keyboards don't have the correct icons but it's probably not a big deal. The keyboard does not have the metal frame around it, nor does it need it. I saved my old one but there isn't any way to install it on this keyboard since it doesn't have any of the holes/indentations for the frame to fit in. The keyboard fits flush and simply doesn't need the frame.The finish is a bit glossy for my keyboard since Asus puts on a rubberized-looking coating to cut down on the shiny glare and to hide finger prints. While it doesn't match the finish perfectly, it also doesn't look out of place so I'm not concerned with it. The back light works great and the whole replacement took less than five minutes. I didn't have the original sticky-back tape holding my keyboard down since my laptop was RMAed a long time ago, but if your keyboard still has that adhesive on it you will have a much harder time getting your old one off. My space bar failed and half a dozen keys had lost their black paint and the back light was shooting into my face like a search beacon so a keyboard replacement was in order. This one works very nicely and I'll do it again with this same vendor if I need another one. Hopefully my laptop will last that long!

Using keyboard for a month already. Works fine. Lights slightly yellow-ish, but its not critical. Had no problems connecting it.

Great keyboard!I used this to replace my factory installed ASUS G73 keyboard. I had some keys that were unresponsive and one even fell out.It was delivered quickly and was packaged very safely and it didnt take more than 20 minutes for me to install the new one.The backlighting works just as well as the last!

Yes this works with my ASUS g73sh, the Best Buy version, my shift key stopped working and after tons of searching around for a keyboard, I found this, and it plugged right in and worked, love it.

Item was received well packed and protected, with a QA (quality assurance) check sheet; very professionally done. Upon installation, backlight did not function. This, however, was not the fault in the keyboard, but a corrupted sub-routine in the computer itself. After troubleshooting and reloading the offending file, keyboard is fully operational. Very satisfied.
